The Concept

Beer Box Shop started trading 5 years ago with the aim of creating a large range of ready-to-ship industry specific packaging.

With new breweries opening on a weekly basis, we understood the difficulties these small businesses experienced when faced with the complication and expense associated with tooling costs and large minimum order quantities.

The service we offered side-stepped these issues because we created the tools and produced the boxes in large volumes which could then be broken down and supplied in smaller volumes to several customers.

The ethos of Beer Box Shop from the very start has been to mould the business around the needs of our customers.

With the insight that we have gained through this approach we have now created the largest selection of gift, trade and shipping beer packaging in the UK.

Our products are designed specifically for breweries and are available on a next day service, enabling us to react to the demand of our customers. 

From Start To Finish

Listening to our customers has taught us that it can be a very daunting process with the many print types, board grades and other options available.

With this in mind we guide our customers through this process with clear guides and concise information to help our customers make the decision that is right for them.

When Beer Box Shop began, home became the office and the kitchen became a warehouse.

In The Beginning

In early 2014 we began to “brew” up the idea of becoming the UK’s first brewing specific packaging supplier.

Within a week of leaving full time employment behind, home became an office / warehouse and a business was born from a passion.

Speaking to local breweries soon generated great interest in what was to become Beer Box Shop. 

Involvement with SIBA

Our involvement with SIBA has been critical in allowing us to develop our business and get to know and understand our customer base from the very start.

We have always been keen to join in with the judging of regional and national beer competitions, sponsoring of awards, advertising and attending the annual BeerX trade event.

We are proud to have grown with SIBA from the beginning, becoming a Silver member for 18/19.

Getting online was essential to providing a simple and reactive service for our customers.

Getting Online

From the offset, the aim was to create a simple to use and effective service that customers could use to order online, offering next day delivery.

Development of the brand and a dedicated website was launched in 2015 to tremendous effect.

Orders began to flood in from across the UK and Ireland and, to our surprise, from all corners of Europe and as far a field as Taiwan, Japan and the USA. 

Branded Packaging

As the brewing industry has become more brand aware in recent years, the importance of well branded POS is almost (but not quite!) as important as the beer.

The demand for bespoke printed packaging has increased YOY since the birth of Beer Box Shop and is now a large part of our business.

As always, we cater for the smallest brewery through to the largest, whether it is a simple logo stamp, 1 colour design or full colour printing.

We strive to create striking bespoke packaging for our customers without breaking the bank.

We moved into our largest warehouse to date in late 2017.

Growing the Business

In the autumn of 2014 and with a baby on the way it was time to move the business to a dedicated premises and reclaim the (ware)house as a home!

With 4 outgrown premises behind us we are now looking to make another move into a purpose built warehouse where we will continue to expand our range by adding more can packaging solutions and wooden gift boxes/crates.
